Rogue Invitational 2025: Tom Kingdon’s 4th Place Finish in The Q

Rogue Invitational 2025 returns to Aberdeen. Discover how Tom Kingdon placed 4th in The Q, why qualification was tougher, and who’s competing this year.

What is the Rogue Invitational?

The Rogue Invitational is one of the most prestigious off-season competitions in CrossFit and strength sports. Known for its huge prize purse, slick broadcast, and stacked line-up, the event combines elite CrossFit, Strongman, and Strongwoman in one weekend.

This year, it runs from 31 October–2 November 2025 at P&J Live, Aberdeen, Scotland, following a successful 2024 debut in the UK.

Rogue Invitational 2025 Qualification

Athletes qualify in two ways:

  • Rogue Points System (RPS): Based on worldwide competition results from the last four years.

  • The Q (online qualifier): Athletes worldwide submit workouts judged by Rogue.

📌 Big change in 2025: In 2024, at least five men and five women earned spots through The Q. This year, Rogue cut that down to just two men and two women, making it far harder to qualify.

Tom Kingdon’s Performance in The Q

British athlete Tom Kingdon delivered an outstanding showing, finishing 4th overall in the men’s field. Last year, that result would have earned him a ticket. But with only two qualification spots in 2025, he narrowly missed out on a place in Aberdeen.

Despite the disappointment, Kingdon’s result proves he can hang with the world’s best. His consistency through the qualifier highlights him as one of the UK’s rising stars in the CrossFit scene.

Who Qualified for Rogue Invitational 2025?

The Q qualifiers:

  • Men: Uldis Upenieks, Fabian Hermans

  • Women: Elisa Fuliano, Paige Powers

Invited athletes include:

  • Men: Jeffrey Adler, Justin Medeiros, Pat Vellner, Roman Khrennikov, Ricky Garard, Jonne Koski, Noah Ohlsen

  • Women: Emma Lawson, Haley Adams, Dani Speegle, Arielle Loewen, Lucy Campbell, Olivia Kerstetter

In addition, Strongman and Strongwoman feature stars like Mitchell Hooper, Tom Stoltman, and Hafþór Björnsson.

Why Tom Kingdon’s Result Matters

  • UK representation: Alongside Lucy Campbell, Kingdon keeps British athletes in the Rogue conversation.

  • Momentum builder: His 4th place in The Q confirms his elite potential heading into 2026.

  • Changing landscape: His near-miss shows how tough qualification has become with fewer Q spots available.
